Community Support Services provide individuals person-centered services within their own homes and communities. People can choose to have their programs “within walls” or have programs “without walls”.

  • Fine and gross motor skills
  • Enhancement with self, social and environmental awareness
  • Sensory stimulation
  • Use of community resources
  • Use of safety skills
  • Peer Interaction
  • Management and use of behavioral skills
  • Learning and problem solving
  • Communication Skills
  • Self Care and personal development

Community Support Services offer Individuals:

  • Independent Living Skills such as, money management, personal hygiene, cooking and food preparation
  • Safety skills, including vehicle, home and street safety
  • Physical activity including bowling, track and field, sliding and hiking, swimming and walking

Person Centered Outcomes

  • Self awareness and self motivation
  • Community awareness
  • Increase and maintain physical activity
  • Optimal independence
